Most of my costume was hand made, with my socks and gloves being the exceptions. I get the most questions about the rifle, bikini, and boots. All black fabric is lame' from Hobby Lobby. The rifle is merely wood and PVC pipes with a few random findings for other details. The boots are tan "stacked heel" boots that I painted white and added flames to. The flames on the shoes and top were done with fabric paint.

Naturally, the rifle was tricky. It was probably the hardest, but my least favorite was actually the shorts. Lame' does not like being sewed! It has very particular settings and needles that it needs in order to be happy!

Yoko is a rather level-headed girl who is a great shot with her rifle. I like that she is optimistic yet realistic, because that's often how I am. I'm not so optimistic to think that I can win everything (like Kamina), but I'm not hopeless either, like Simon was when he is first introduced.

Aside from her personality, I love her design. All the accessories were totally fun to make, and equally fun to wear! I feel like a superhero every time I cosplay her.

Yoko and her rifle have endured seven conventions thus far, plus a photoshoot! In 2011, I've worn Yoko to ACen, RamenCon, SugoiCon, KollisionCon, and Anime Crossroads. In 2012, she has been to OhayoCon, AnimeWorld Indy, and out for a shoot at a state park.

Many people really enjoy my Yoko! I am always making updates to it, as I find better ways to portray her, or things get damaged and need to be redone. I don't feel like I'm the best Yoko ever, but I do feel like it's the best cosplay for me that I've made so far. Haruhi Suzumiya is a close second, though!

I've been cosplaying since 2007, and have been seriously into making my costumes since 2010. I started out with some bought costumes and slowly worked my way into making my own.

I've won a few costume contests. Yoko has gotten three awards, her biggest being "best craftsmanship" at KollisionCon 2011. Tess from Jak and Daxter has also gotten "Derek Sears" which I think is like best novice at A&G 2012. Just recently, my Nagi of Kannagi received "best advanced" at AnimeWorld Indy.
