Brienne of Tarth is one of my favorite characters, and I’d wanted to make her armor as soon as it debuted on Game of Thrones, but it took a few years for me to finally decide to tackle such a big project. Brienne is such a great character, and I wanted to do her justice!

My boyfriend and I spent a few months putting the costume together last summer and finished it just in time for DragonCon. It was my first armor build, as well as my first time using Worbla, and it was definitely a challenge. A lot of work was put into getting it as accurate as possible - countless hours went into studying reference photos, making templates, detail work, and figuring out how to attach all the pieces to allow for as much mobility as possible.

Though there are lots of things I’d like to change, overall I am very happy with the finished product, and I absolutely love how these photos from my shoot with DWRD Studios turned out!
