This was actually a surprise cosplay I put up in one week ò--ò Since I love the Gotham Sirens and I have already cosplayed as both Catwoman and Harley Quinn, I thought that the only missing piece were Poison Ivy. Plus the hot season was approaching, so I decided to do the costume a go. in the end the make up, the wig, and the synthethic leaves made this costume a lot warmer. I wore it in only two events (since it’s lost somewhere now), but, even if it was a very simple costume, I’m pretty pleased with it! For the second time I even created a prop, but it broke ahahahha this costume is DOOMED!

I choosed Ivy because I friggin love sexy women who take no sh*t. I think they are really powerful and strong characters, even if Ivy was for most of her career a villain. She’s a complex character, even if sometimes the authors did her justice. I choose my favourite look for her, which is inspired both from the classic version (green leotard) and from the animated series (hair color and skin tone. The costume took overall a week to complete, and it was pretty easy. I made the bodice and the gloves, glued the leaves to the headpiece. I was lucky to find matching shoes.

I really like Ivy and in the past year my love for her has grown. I’d like to do another costume for her, but this time I’d like to go for a more terrific and savage look. who knows!
