We took these photos in the parking garage of a friend’s apartment, actually. She and another friend helped us pose and flip my cape, it was a lot of fun!

I made the costume primarily out of craft and EVA foam, and stuck most of it together with contact adhesive. I had help with the bodysuit and cape from a friend, as I’d started the costume quite last minute. I built my foot armor around a pair of my own boots, and made the bow from expanding foam, PVC pipe and correx board.

The most difficult part of the costume was probably the breastplate - as it was the first part of the costume that I made and I was quite inexperienced with armor when I made it.

Ashe is a frost archer, cool and collected. What appealed most to be about this costume is that it was a big armor project, and I wanted to try my hand at it. Needless to say, I loved it!

I’ve worn it to one convention so far - rAge 2015. There are a few things I need to fix up before I can wear it again.

Followers seemed to enjoy my costume, as it was the first big armor project I’ve taken on, and so it was different to anything I’ve done before.
