Slave Leia & Boba Fett from Star Wars Return of the Jedi

I am protraying Princess Leia from the legendary Star Wars films. This is the Slave Leia variant when she was captured by Jabba the Hut in an attempt to rescue Han Solo.

The fact that Leia wasn't afraid to risk her life to save the man she loved appeals to me. She she didn't give up even when she was captured. She didn't wait to be rescued. When the right moment came, she siezed it, killed Jabba and escaped all on her own.

I have worn this to the 2010 and 2011 San Diego Comic Con in addition to the 2011 New York Comic Con. I also work as an official Slave Leia model for Gentle Giant Studios. Fans go crazy over this costume! It's one of those costumes where I can't take two steps without someone stopping me for a photo.

I was inspired by photos of cosplayers on the web to get into cosplay in 2006. It looked like so much fun and I wanted to try it for myself. I have been hooked ever since. I don't enter contests much but at the 2012 Wizard World Philly show my girl friends and I won second place for our original 1950's Gotham Girls Group. I was Catwoman with Han Pan as Harley Quinn and Lucid as Poison Ivy.
