I really love Portal. I mean, it’s kinda almost of borderline obsessed. when I was able to get my hands on a portal gun, I knew I had to cosplay Chell because I felt like I was really connected to her from playing Portal and Portal 2 so much. (a plus is that she doesn’t talk because I can get really shy :< ) The opportunity presented itself and I didn’t really have to change much (in terms of hair and such) so I could become the character I was already accustomed to playing. (:

This picture was taken at Fanime 2012. I’ve only worn this costume to Fanime 2012 so far, but I plan on wearing it to Comic Con San Digeo 2012! The fans either wanted to touch my portal gun, or commented on how my calves must be burning. (: (because I cut off the heels on my boots to stay true to Chell’s long fall boots.)

I have been making my costumes since the very beginning when I was about 12-13. At first I’ve had help sewing with my grandma, but now, I’m making them on my own c: I bought the two tank tops and gray shorts to go underneath the jumpsuit. I made the jumpsuit using a vintage pattern I found online, and I used plastic, foam, superglue, and tons of other things to make the boots. Also, I bought the ASHPD from N.E.C.A. What part of the costume was most difficult to create? The most difficult part to make was the boots most definitely!
