To be honest I have always loved Lara croft but when it comes to cosplay I really need to connect with the character to bring it to life. For a long time the character of Lara was be highly centered around her sex appeal and use of guns and total control. This new Lara in the latest release really gave a fresh new look into her character. It was something that went a whole new direction and really did a whole 360 of the traditional Lara Croft. This was the character I was waiting for!

Being an outdoor girl and also having a slight passion for archery I could really feel Lara within myself. This character was more of a natural creation. It has alot of myself along with the new Lara croft. Creating the costume was fairly simple seeing how it was not too complex. Most of the work had to be in getting the texturing and weathering of the outfit correct. One thing that is most of the time overlooked is the weathering of cosplays because alot of people are just too scared for one reason of another. For me, its just dirt it will wash off and it wont harm you if you are careful so I just smeared mud and dirt all over.

Cosplay didn't really start until recently but it's something that I have always done somewhat. Before I knew what cosplay was I was doing it without knowing. My real reason for keeping it going is my love to create a whole new world. Now cosplay to some people is just for fun. Thats true for me to but sometimes I like to get in depth with the character and go beyond cosplay and turn it into a full scale project. Mind you most every outfit, photo, editing, and concept is done all by my self. I have yet to work with a team but I hope that one day I will be able to do even larger projects even work for companies to create promotional art. Thats my dream!
