Dante's Inferno Photographer: Rachel Amendola Photography These costumes were 100% self made and debuted at Anime Boston in 2013. Construction took about two months and used a variety of materials, the primary being foam. The costumes were meant to be worn full time at three day conventions, so we prioritized comfort despite the fact that there were bulky elements. Dante's armor is made from foam and worbla, and Beatrice's head and back piece are various layers of EVA foam, spray foam and craft foam. Certain elements of the costume were particularity challenging because we hadn't had experience with the processes. Black learned how to link chain mail and spent painstaking hours making his cowl and Nobo had never sewn before (I know... a cosplayer that doesn't sew. Madness.) so making the form fitting hoop skirt took a lot of trial and error. Some elements need to be repaired and imporved, but overall we were very happy with how they turned out. The wonderful photographs were taken by many talented cosplay photographers. TheBigTog captured the dark and eerie religious aura that these characters have with his beautiful high contrast photos and OhHeyItsSK shot us in a great environment that really complimented the characters aesthetic. We were honored work with them! Cosplayer: Black & Nobo Cosplay Photographer: OhHeyItsSK Photographer: TheBigTog Photographer: TheBigTog Photographer: TheBigTog
