Linalia as Elsa from Frozen

I wanted to cosplay Elsa as soon as I saw a poster for the animated film, and converged on the premiere it only strengthened the desire, still a very strong character, with an interesting history and beautiful costumes.

Especially I like to bring something special to the festival STARKON, which was held in July in St. Petersburg, the first time I was going to go so far as to speak.

The task faced a not easy. But outlining a work plan with my partner for cosplay Anna (Grange Air), we want to get started, but we are faced with the problem of choosing the fabric. In our town not so rich choice, so most of them were brought from St. Petersburg, and only in January we sat sewing. Then corset basis and initiated top blouse was made, which subsequently had to alter the summer, because not everything goes right the first time. One time, when nothing at all happened, I wanted to throw this venture, but still made herself and set up, and as it turned out - for good reason!

Most of the work was carried out in June, both times during the session. It was very hard to sew at the same time each day to go shopping to find the right fabrics and accessories to prepare for exams, and I even almost flunked session! I would like to thank my mother, who did not leave me in such a difficult period and help than she could. Just do it in the evenings, and sometimes even at work, embroidered blouse Elsa small crystals.

The most interesting part of the costume - a corset, which was created in the original ice. Pre watching the others’ work and attempts to make it a reality, I worked out your strategy. As a result, days, nights and even pairs every spare moment I sewed and glued paetki, they did not dream. Around the whole corset took about 50 packs of three colors, and again I want to thank my mother, who cut from them with a hole portion on the one hand, because in Russia we could not find a suitable form of sparkles. But even with the icy crust of sparkles sparkling corset did not look perfect, so a couple of nights to spend on gluing rhinestones of various shapes and sizes. The result exceeded all my expectations, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Not only near, but from afar, corset looks amazing, mud, ice it for real! And this is the only part of the costume, which I’m totally satisfied.

Yet for a long time I could not decide on the shoes. They’re kind of like, too, must be made of ice, but suitable transparent or at least I was not able to clear the platform or heel to find, so bought cheap pink shoes in the Chinese market, cut out from them the desired shape, painted blue acrylic in several layers and infinitely sprinkled sequins . Wash, not bad! Cosplayers even shoes have to do, not just sewing.

The most difficult part of the suit - coat with him was the most problems. In the original it a lot of patterns and sparkling snowflakes, but to draw them into a delicate grid did not work. So we had to izgalyatsya and cut out all this in the last days of the silver mesh and sew on hands. That there was no visible seams on a thread strung glass beads. On the last night, we together with my mother paste huge cloak infinite number of crystals. Single story, as I was running to the shops and looking for the glue, which does not corrode the silver surface Sew rhinestones, many sparkling stones fell during the experiments. As a result, the cloak turned elegant, light and sparkling, but I’m not entirely happy with the result, so I plan to finish this part of the costume.

Already in St. Petersburg to finish some stuff and put a wig. And a stunning photoshoot was held, which could only dream of. And we have fared well at the festival, and it was a very interesting experience!
