Pan's Labyrinth Photographer: Christine Mak I’ve been making costumes for over twelve years now and this is still one of my favourites to date. I wanted to do something a bit different that incorporated a lot of the elements I like in costume making. It was a big challenge to take on! The entire body suit is hand painted, and the other parts are crafted from mostly cardboard and paper clay. I built the mask over a construction helmet so it was easy to wear and stable on my head. The best part about it is everything is super lightweight! I wore this to Costume Con 32 in Toronto and won two awards in the masquerade: Best in Class Master, and Master Workmanship - Excellence in Painting.
