Final Fantasy XIII & Final Fantasy XIII-2 Photographer: Photo by Anna Fischer See more images of Lightning and Serah Farron YuuriC - Lightning (FFXIII outfit): I love to cosplay Lightning, she's such a strong character! I debut it at Otakon 2012. I worked on it slowly for months, a lot of hand painting done on the gloves and the skirt. I used no patterns for my cosplays. The difficult part was the bag. I looked at bags I owned to make the leg bag. The pauldron is made out of craft foam and I used shoe lace LED lights. The arm straps are also made out of craft foam. I must say this outfit is way more comfortable than Lightning's armor! YuuriC - Lightning (FFXIII-2 armor): This armor is made all out of craft foam, I wore it to Otakon 2012 and Katsucon 2012. My first armor took me 6 lonnng painful months to make D: At the time I was a noob at making armor, but I learned a lot of new things. I don't know how I managed to make it without knowing anything about armor. My second version was a less painful experience, it took me about a month to make and I think overall I like how it looks:) For more details read my DA journal. I don't attend contests, but my armor has been featured in PSM3 (UK Playstation Magazine), showcased at cosplay.com, and it got a daily deviation on deviantart. I'm happy to hear from many that I have inspired them to create Lightning's armor, you can do it with cheap materials. All you need is motivation and have fun! YuuriK - Serah (FFXIII-2 White Mage): From all the designs of her DLC outfits, white mage was my favorite. I hope in the future I could do the rest of them. YuuriK - Serah (FFXIII-2 default outfit) As of right now, Serah from FFXIII-2 is my favorite. She was a little hard for me to cosplay because I had a hard time getting into character. I love my second version and it took me about a month of off and on work. I finished making the transformable bow-blade in 1-2 weeks. I wore this to Katsucon 2012 and Otakon 2012 and I had a blast! I'm so happy with the compliments I got c: Helpful tips on how I made it. I'm glad my helpful tips help many cosplayers and I'm an inspiration to them :) I don't attend contests, but I got a Daily Deviation for my version 2 at Deviantart. One of my photos was featured in Cosplay Gen 05 and I got featured at PSM3 (UK Playsation Magazine). Follow us on Twitter @DailyCosplay or Facebook for the latest news.
