Bayonetta 2 Photographer: Juan Algarate Hi! My name is Judy Helsing and I’m a novice cosplayer from Barcelona. I've been cosplaying since 2013, so here I show you my second costume, which is the second version of Bayonetta. I started to make cosplay because I love to make handmade things and I a big fan of videogames, in the past I imagined myself as a videogame character. So I thought “Why don’t you make cosplay?” and I started this cosplayer adventure. Nice, isn’t it? Bayonetta is my favourite female character from the world of videogames! She is a powerful Umbra Witch which must fight angels with a lot of weapons, but her most popular one are the guns! She wears four guns, two on the hands, and two more on the shoes, and she is dressed with her hair. She can also summon demons with her hair! If you take a look to my costume, you will notice that it isn’t the first costume… Yes! I decided to cosplay the second version of Bayonetta, which is featured in the game Bayonetta 2. I really love her new hairstyle, it fits the mood so well! I think we have a similar personality, we are coqquetish but we are fighters… And that’s why I love Bayonetta! This photo shoot was made the last 20th of July in my city, what a hot day! But the photo shoot was quite funny, wearing this costume in summer in Barcelona is an adventure… As you can see, the costume is made with vinyl fabric and false leather. But I think that the most interesting part of this costume is all the props you can see in the photos. The stars, the earrings, the clock and the glasses are made with foam! This material is awesome, it is so cheap and you can make nice things if you know how to treat it. Then, my favourite parts of this cosplay are the guns and the heels. Why? I’ve never imagined that I was able to make such things! The heel of the boot is made with embossed tin and the four guns are made by a mixture of styrodur, worbla, PVC pipes, silicone, epoxy filler and cart board foam. The guns only weight 400 gr! I have also tutorials of the heels and the guns, believe me, they were funny to make. I didn’t wear this costume in a convention yet, but I will wear it this October/November in two Spanish conventions I hope I won’t fall with those heels! If you are from Spain and you see me in a con, don’t try to hug me if you want to have me alive! Cosplayer: Judy Helsing
