Yuuko Ichihara is a rare bird in the world of manga and anime. A mature woman of immature behavior, borderline alcoholic, cynical to the bone, always so mysterious, cruel in a way that obviously hides a kind heart and a tragic past, and shamelessly, crushingly sexy. Her sex appeal, however, is not there for the male gaze - it’s obvious that she dresses like that because it amuses her, and such confidence is what I admire about her. Yuuko was the first cosplay I ever did, many years ago. Given that I’ve seriously levelled up as a cosplayer in the mean time, I decided to revisit the costume and see how much I changed when it comes to posing and getting in character. The series of photo edits is inspired by CLAMP’s artwork - we did our best to recreate the iconic overcomplicated backgrounds and "noodle people" poses. Cosplayer: Ferasha
