Okay guys this is how I made some GIANT RIDICULOUS TAILS and made them STICK TO MY BUTT.

I wanted to be as close as possible to the source material while still being able to walk and move to a reasonable degree, so the goal was to make nice-looking faux fur tails that could bend and be posed while being as large as I could manage.

I bought 6 yards of faux fur and trimmed and sewed up the tails by hand, stuffed them with super-lightweight packing peanuts and used 9 10-foot rolls of quarter-inch aluminum armature wire to wire them up. There is also a hidden zipper pouch sewn into one of the tails so I can carry some essentials with me (hooray).

The final bit of the project was making these things actually wearable. I came up with this design based mainly off Mythbusters' Doc Ock project and got my dad, who has a metalworking shop, to help me out. Step by step photos here.

Materials for this were around (faux fur and armature wire, mainly) and I'd estimate about 45-50 hours of labor (not counting planning, buying materials, etc) on my part and a couple more hours from my dad. They weigh around 25 pounds.
